My Goal for the New Year

The new year is well underway.  I know that some of us have at least
one thing we want to accomplish this year.  I don’t make resolutions,
I just listen for the still, soft voice of the Father speaking to me thru
the Word or just by the Holy Spirit.

This is my goal:

"Remember you not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth."   Isiah 43: 18,19

Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bosom of Christ, and go out into
the irresistible future with Him. Never let the sense of failure corrupt your
new action.

Just in the last month, I got the message from the Lord to tell me that the old
things were past.  Of course they are not really past, but they are the stepping
stones that build our way to the next things of God.
A new thing has begun in me. I do not yet know what all this new thing will bring.
But I am excited to know that God is doing this.  It is not MY work.  It is HIS work.

I feel very relaxed, knowing that He will bring forth whatever is His will.  I have
done with striving a long time ago.  When I realized that I can do no good things
in myself, only as God works it in me, I quit striving.  I guess I always wanted to
please God.  But the only way I can please Him is to draw close to Him and follow
His leading.

It is really something when a new year signals a new work of God in me.  I try to
keep my emotions in check, but I can’t help being excited.  Of course, at this stage
I must not try to work things out myself.  I must be still, study the Word, continue
to glorify my Lord in all things.  Remember the time of the Isralites at Jericho?
They could have never breached the walls of that city.  But they did as God told them.
They marched around the city as God did the work of bringing down those strong walls.

So, we must just march and see what God is doing in our lives.

Blessings upon each of you.

I’ve been absent

Hello all who come here.  I am sorry I’ve not been here for so long.
My computer has given my many headaches. Last night I did the third
reinstallation in less then two months.  I am praying that it will stay
fixed now.  After all, my computer’s name is God’s Window.  It is my
window to the world.  It is the means by which I can glorify my Lord
in all the world.

I love to tell about Jesus and all that our Heavenly Father has done for
me. I also love to read about how He has worked in the lives of others.
So, please come in and leave comments or make a blog.  I would love
for you to write in my space.

God bless each one of you. May His peace be with you and His glory
shine upon you.
Sandy
