I realize that many Christians have not been praying because they have not accepted the reality of war in which we find ourselves. There is a spiritual war mode that we must appropriate. It is an aggressive stance that we take against evil. It is governed by love for people, but it is fearless and uncompromising with the powers of darkness that manipulate people to fulfill evil plans.

Many Christians do not realize that we are in a war that is not with people on this planet.
"For we wrestle not agaainst flesh and blood, but against principalities, aganist powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wicknedness in high places." Ephesians 6: 12
The ones we are at war with are the level of demons that rule over us in the air. These demons try to prevent God’s will from being done on the earth. They are strong and powerful. When we realize who we are fighting, we know how to pray better. Ephesians
6:12-18 tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against these demons. We cannot fight them ourselves, but with the power of God, we can.
We too often look at people and think that if they were not around we would have a better place. This is not so. The demons will be there until the Father sends Jesus to take us out of this world.
I often pray that Jesus will block the powers of the air so that my prayer can get through. I know God hears my prayers, but the enemy may try to stop His answer. Do not underestimate these powers. Put on the whole armor of God and remind any evil ones that you have it on – thus giving you the power to defeat them.
Remember that Jesus won victory over Satan and all his followers. So, they don’t have the right to hurt us unless we let them. If we don’t stay in an attitude of prayer, and if we don’t have our armor on, we might just get beaten by them.
Intercessory prayers is very special. This must be done with much preparation. Fix you whole thoughts on the prayer you will pray. Ask the Father how you can best intercede for someone. The Bible tells you how.
